A visitor can see three castles, and the castle of Ragiou (in the middle) and that have been identified with Torone, most likely a Corcyraean colony. A post- Byzantine tower is also preserved, which was built over the remains of the ancient one. The small fort of Pyrgos Ragiou (Tower of Ragion), in use from the classical to the ottoman periods.
